Subject: PL1 on Acorn Teletext Adaptor Board

Just came across an old Acorn teletext adaptor board (issue 6) in the 
garage that I removed from a cheese wedge a while back in favour of an ARM6 
copro.

I've not noticed before, but there's a large space on the board for "PL1", 
bottom right of the board as you look from the top.

Anyone know what this was for please?
