Just a guess, looking at mine, that it could take a connector as a
pass-through to allow a chain of devices. I've not seen a second socket or
cable fitted to one, as such it has always had to sit on the end of the bus
in my systems. I guess you'd have to disable the termination resistors if it
wasn't the last device in the chain...
