That's the thing - with Windows being a multitasking OS, running
Thunderbird Portable, Firefox, WinAmp... would it be better thus to have
a faster single CPU, or a slower split-personality CPU?

That's the thing... Then, on Azumi BeebEm (just installed it) runs at 1x
so I'm not sure if it is throttling back or if that's the best an HT
1.6GHz lump can achieve?
At least RedSquirrel runs sort-of like a real RiscPC. It was somewhat
less comfy on a 450MHz box! Sadly the !SICK that I have crashes halfway
through benchmarking so I can't see how it measures up against real
hardware...

Best wishes,

Rick.
