Well after playing with the network cabling to no effect, I started to
swap the ROMs about after all, but spotted one difference between the
working B and the non-working ones... so checked that out first..

With DNFS in socket 15, it didn't work .. With it in 13 or below it
did... 14 is RAM, and has host support routines loaded into it.  So it
seems that somehting in the host software and (D)NFS is clashing.
This would appear to be undocumented...

Sigh.  Oh well. Sorted now.

Just have to repair one of three dead machnes now to get the last line
back online.
