Subject: [OT] ADSL capabilities

The line is as good as it gets, I cannot remember the stats I was
looking at today, but the BT Engineer was surprised that on a line
length of 3,609 metres from the exchange card, it was reading 100!

No extensions, all internal wiring re-done to master socket fitted with
ADSL v2 faceplate.

BT are now sending a man with a sniffer to record Radio Interference,
which they think could be the cause.

Andrew

I don't know if you could drum up enough local support, but you could
always go the Rutland Telecom route...Either get them to do it, or do
it yourself..

Different routers do perform differently... so does the quality of the
line, any extension wiring, filters, etc. Have you tried the router
connected to directly to the line without anything else connected, not
even filters? (as they only filter the handset side)
