Subject: Escape - what does it do?

Just before I start, thanks to everyone who wrote to me about their 
emulators; 3 replies so far! I'll post my answer to my own questions too.

What does the Escape key do? As far as I can see from the manual, it 
calls EVENTV with the appropriate parameter - is that right? The AUG is 
pretty hopeless when you're trying to look something up; the index is 
pretty crummy.

I've got it all wrong *again*, haven't I...
