Well that depends.  It could just generate an ASCII Code if you set it
up that way, or it could cause an event.

Now if its set up normally it sets a flag somehwere ('the escape condition')
- I don't know at what stage that is set however.

Remember its not just the escape key - it can be refangled to any
key you like I think.

P.S. I downloaded xbeeb and tried using the 'roms' from the
Acorn Beeb emulator on the Arc - I get 'Illegal opcode -- 0x3c'
I think the BASIC rom is a true beeb rom - I don't know if the
OS is.  This is running on a sparc.
