What are the LOAD and EXEC addresses of the program that hangs?  Type
*OPT 1,2 then do a *CAT of the tape upto the last block.  Then look at
the two long numbers displayed.  The first is the Load address (IIRC)
and the second the Exec address.  If the LOAD address is below &1900
then you'll find that it is writing over the ECONET workspace.  Do you
have the machine connected to the ECONET at the time?
