Thanks to all who replied with information and help! It was much
appreciated, and, thanks to you, I now have an auto-booting XFER disk,
and some more room on some others (where unwanted locked files lurked),
and I can transfer files to the Beeb from disk image files. I'm very
grateful to you all. 

But, no-one who has yet replied knew anything about my last question
regarding the Watford Electronics demo disk. So that one still stands!

P.S. Just purely out of interest, is it possible to get a figure for the
