Oh, I'd love to see an Electron emulator - for completelness sake.  I
agree that the differences are not big enough to warrant writing an
emulator from scratch, unless one is quite fanatic, or would really like
the experience of emulator devlopment.  My choice would be to attempt
adjusting BeebEm to accomodate Electron ROMs and features.

Remember those shortcuts used during programming to quickly enter BASIC
keywords?  Or the single sound channel?  Or the lack of mode 7, which
made text adventures rather small?  Charming, if you ask me... :-)
