What kind of errors are you getting? I don't know anything about Beebem,
but in my opinion Mandrake 7.0 is useless, and I'm switching to another
Linux distribution as soon as possible! 

e.g. if you only have a "limited" disk space for Linux (2Gb in my case,
which is more than adequate!), Mandrake 7.0 will often, depending on what
installation you choose, miss out installing certain *essential* UNIX
packages, such as 'make' etc. Do you have 'make' properly installed? 

I think Mandrake 7.0 is generally acknowledged as being worse than 
previous versions of Mandrake (at least as far as the installation
process goes).
