BeebEm does not compile on any modern Linux distribution. This is
attributable to flaws in the BeebEm code. If I remember correctly the
flaws were

1) Somewhere there is the line "#define throw", i.e. blanking out any
throw statements. This line needs to be commented out because it conflicts
with some header files.

2) There is a nasty bug in one of the templates where an undefined class
is forward referenced. It would seem that older compilers missed this
error(!) whereas the newer egcs compiler catches it.

Do you want a patch to correct these problems?

Alternatively, a while ago, I threw a few rpm's (for RedHat 6.x, may or
may not work with other glibc2.1 distibutions) on
ftp://ftp.lmh.ox.ac.uk/users/chris/BeebEm-0.8-4rh6x.i386.rpm

Only works at 8bpp 256 colour X server mode, but other than that it plays
most games flawlessly.

Cheers
Chris
