Or even "give the lass an iron ass" as I seem to remember the novella
saying, fifteen-odd years on, then line up perfectly with the entrance to
the space station and shoot a quick burst (save the energy) of those those
quick-recharging lasers at the station, and blow up the wings of four vipers
that come out.  Make sure you have the ability to get away, though: after a
few dozen police even the best of us need rear-firing military lasers and an
energy bomb...  Oh, and you might as well have a cargo of firearms and an
anarchy planet nearby to go to because you're going to be public enemy
number one for quite a while....
