Subject: model B saga continues

well, I feel like I should follow up with my B saga.
I have tried just about everything I know (collected information from the
late 70's and early 80's), and this machine will not respond. My closest
relative to this machine is my working B+ which has a different looking
M/B, the electron of course is totally different as is my Archimedes A3000.

One thing I notice is the time relay, that is AS SOON as I switch the
machine on the beeppppppppppppp (non stop) noise starts, so I dont even
think the machine does any kind of testing,
I would say it some sort of an electrical problem, maybe even with the
internal PSU, but then again, it does manage to give electricity for sound
and the light to come on.
It's becoming more of a challenge to fix it than anything else.
Does any one have any suggestions for a 5 step programme to check what
might be wrong from the data I had previously posted.
I have taken out the DFS.
What could make it act like that????
It left its destination working, arrived here 5 days later not working.
What I know is they added a 12 rom board, which I removed because it came
out of place. Perhpas there is something I must do after I remove a ROm
board to the machine??? (other than place back the ROMs????)

TIA!!!
Alexander
