Get this diagnostics disc image:

transfer the files onto a BBC disc and boot it.  Option G is the Watford
Diagnostics, which has a 6502 second processor test.

A common failure in the earlier second processors was the Ferranti 9C
ULA chip, but this usually resulted in the Beeb refusing to boot at all
with the second processor connected.

Some ROMs can cause trouble with games.  What ROMs do you have
installed?
