Following up to myself, sorry:
Chris has a pic of an Issue 2 board at:

this is missing the 1MHz bus buffer chips (ic71 and ic72) and connector,
and the Tube socket. The A/D chip and connector are also missing. In
addition, the date code on the 6502 and system 6522 is 1981, whereas the
date code on the user 6522 is 1983, showing it was added later.
I think this is a model A which has been upgraded at some point to a
model B.
