The Music 2000 didn't have receive implemented.

I have built a MIDI interface that emulates key-presses on a diode matrix.
This allows many old keyboards to be midified.
Although designed primarily for a Korg Polysix, it should emulate a Music
4000 nicely.
I'll need to have a look at the wiring of the Music 4000 to the user port,
and post the details to my web page.

You'll find all the necessary disk images to get your Music x000 running
again in the Hybrid Music System page of my site.
This can be found at http://www.octavo.demon.co.uk/colinf/m5000/m5000.htm
for the time being, although the page will soon move my new server at
http://www.colinfraser.com (currently a redirect to my demon site)
