Subject: Electron woes
I still have my 15 year old Electron in my loft which I have been meaning to
resurrect for some time now...problem is that some years ago the keyboard
started to play up (some keys would not work), so I dismantled it and
re-soldered all of the pins on the mainboard to the pins on the keyboard.
This worked for a while, but since my soldering at that time was not the
greatest, the wires eventually started to fall off.
My question is, does anyone have a solution for connected the Elk mainboard
back to the keyboard? I've tried using ribbon cables (old IDE ones) but the
pin spacing on the Elk is too wide for the plug to fit. I'd like to avoid
having to solder each pin individually if possible!
Thoughts anyone?
[deathly silence]
Dan
P.S. Sorry for the slightly O/T post :))
