Correct. The wording of the Telegraphy Act specifies equipment capable of
receiving broadcast television signals regardless of whether it is
directly or redistributed via a rediffusion system, such as cable TV or a
tower block distribution system.
So, that also rules out ripping out the RF demodulator from your TV and
connecting your cable box to the TV via the RGB connectors.
