Subject: LSI Phonetic & Research Speech Synthesizers

Hi,
I don't know to much about these devices as there where quite a lot of
DSP speech systems around when the BBC was alive.

You probally know about there history

Blue Wave Systems http://www.bluews.com/
Formed by the merger of Loughborough Sound Images and Mizar, Blue Wave
Systems designs and manufactures DSP and I/O solutions for VME, PCI,
cPCI and PMC, using DSPs such as those from TI and Analog Devices.

Which has now been merged with Motorola Computer Group

So your in the best place to find out more about these devices.

Chris

Does anybody have any information on these items?

I have saved a couple from the skip.

They were manufactured by a company called Loughborough Sound Images in
the mid 80's and were controlled by a BBC Micro. I have the unit and a
BBC function key strip, but no documentation.
I believe that they were primarily intended for use in Universities and
colleges, but that is largely speculation more than fact.

Any help that anybody can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Andrew.
