Subject: BBC problem

Hi

I guess you get pestered all the time about what to do with a broken BBC.
Can you direct me to a web page that might be able to help

I have a BBC that works. But a friend of mine has given me his BBC B 32K
and disk drive. Its been in his attic for 10 years +
The disk drive is the famous OPUS Challenger 3 in 1. 
I have one of these myself. I have tested his challenger with my working
computer
but when I do *Dr.0, it comes up with DISK FAULT...etc. 
So his Challenger seems broken.

His computer, when I turn it on, just gives a continuous beep, with no
picture obviously.

What do I try..? should I check the keyboard cable, make sure all chips are
in place,
and well pushed in.

My friend swears that everything was working before it went into the attic.
But I guess
the moisture/climate in the attic have done their damage.
