Subject: BBC Power Supply

Okay, on the power supply, I've gone from bad to worse.

Before de-soldering capacitors and transistors, I had a power supply which
did output a voltage, but when connecting to the motherboard fell to below
1.5v.

After reading some posts, recommended by a few on the list, I changed the
dropping transistor for a BU208D (I couldn't find a BU208A - but the BU208D
after checking all the specs, is (maybe!) an updated version of the BU208A.

I also changed C9 (220uf 25v 105C) on the primary side,
and C18 (100uF 25v 105C) and checked all existing solder joints.

Now I've got a dead supply, I wonder if the BU208D is the wrong type!

Regards

Andrew
