I've seen serial numbers (if that's what they are) on stickers from ca.
15000 to ca. 36000.

Before christmas 1983! Total manufactured a few hundred thousand. Not
sure about the exact figure, but just check ebay for amounts of machines
offered and make an estimate based on nr. of BBCs and Atoms offered for
a rough check that 30,000 is way too low.
