Actually, I'm less convinced it was me now - looks like the filesystem
error is coming from NTL's mail server. Other people have reported the
same problem. For some reason NTL are accepting mail from people,
processing it, but still reporting to the sending machine that it hasn't
been sent, so it sits in the outgoing queue. 

Of course their status pages don't admit there's a problem and they'll
probably only fix it when something catches fire! At least it's only
happened to that one message out of about 30 that I've sent today, so
it's not happening on every mail!

I've dumped the message in particular out of my mail queue now anyway as
you've all seen it enough times :-)

(I've been mucking around with low-level SCSI drivers today which threw
me off the scent - I think the SCSI errors in my logs were just from
that and not indicative of a problem with any of my data drives...
grrr!)

Anyway that was unbelievably non-beeb related, so I'll shut up now :)
