Actually, it's not at all easy to tell.  But I'm sure he's not
the only cause, if at all.

I think you're guessing.

I'm seeing duplicated messages both on mailing lists and in personal
emails at the moment.  What they all appear to have in common is that
they're received from NTL, so I suspect the major part of the problem
is there.
