Except the difference with the Spectrum is that Amstrad (owners of the 
copyright in the Sinclar ROMs) have released the ROMs into the public 
domain, which is a huge advantage to both emulator writers and users of 
those emulators. 

I've not been paying close attention to this aspect - have Acorn followed
Amstrad's lead yet and allowed the BBC ROMs to be distributable?
