This could be any number of faults, but the particular problem you describe
(dot in top right corner) doesn't tally with any of the numerous cub repairs
I've done.
Suggest you
a) turn off, leave to stand for a day, remove the main chassis and
desolder/clean/resolder all of the joints associated with the vertically
oriented high wattage white fusable resistors
b) try turning on with the degauss coil unplugged incase the PTC is dieing
c) get a new one off ebay
