Subject: Re: The importance of GoMMC
John and Peter,
I am not dissing GoMMC. I look forward to the time I am able to
purchase one but until then, I would like to know what goes on in the
GoMMC scene, that's why I joined the mailing list. It is the most
valuable piece of contribution anyone's made to the BBC scene. What's
not clear is how serious is John about making that contribution, and
will more be made to order - keep up the good work John and I'm sorry
if I keep sounding "abrupt" every time I talk about it. It's not as
much the price now that bothers me as much as were the communications
around it from your part, and also perhaps you seemingly are not
bothered as much to make a difference to the BBC scene as I thought you
were from what you say below. If you don't decide to produce any more
aren't you being a little unfair and miserly not to release the
schematics so others can then contribute - or do I have an outdated
understanding of the demand for this from what I have been reading from
this list about this so far? Plenty of people are talking about
storage for the BBC still. This is not a personal attack on you John,
only the way you are going about promoting your product to the list. I
am a potential customer and I don't know why you purged me along with a
lot of others whom were't customers, from the GoMMC list. I don't mean
to dictate to you how to run your hobby, I'm only reminding you about
the demand there is for this stuff, and how it would be a shame to just
cut supply.
Peter, this is not a bashing session. This is serious talk to do with
the BBC. By the way, when did Acorn User fall to the ashes (?), Micro
User became Acorn user? Sorry, I'm out of touch there.
Fiaz.
