I had the exact same problem with a BBC power supply about 1 month back.
Lots of smoke, and it stunk the house out for about a week.
I bought a replacement pack of capacitors from RS (stock number 210-500).
They are exactly the same phyisical size as the original. Min quantity I
could buy was 5 - although I only needed 1. If you're in the UK, I can send
you one of my spares if you wish. Drop me an email with your details, and
I'll post it out.
Incidently, the power supply still worked without the capacitor.
Regards
Ken.
