Yes I agree with you absolutely... I removed the last paragraph of my mail
which said something like "though inserting ASCII >127 characters inside
strings is a dodgy practice if you ask me, and anyone doing it probably
deserves all the trouble they get :)"
That said, I've seen hundreds of programs which PRINT teletext control
codes by inserting them directly into the program (via Shift-f2 or
whatever), and Basic IV even added special support for these codes in REM
statements (for coloured comments) so I don't think they're *all* bad.
