Yep!
And yes, I'm pretty proud of this beauty.
Should I take a photo of it, so you can all drool about it?!
( the picture I mean; stay away from my Risc PC I urge you! :-) )
I think they were prototypes, although they seemed to be sold officially,
as I even had the small sticker with 'Econet' on it. It's meant to be put
just above the opening (in which the connector(s) are positioned). It's
a small area having a 'slab-in'. If you take a look at your RPC, you'll
see what I mean.
Looking at the details in the TRM about the physical aspects on
(whatever) NIC, the location of the 68B54 is a bit out-of-line. That's
why I had the impression dealing with a prototype. I have no idea if
other makes were there as well. I'm very happy with /this/ one!
If you like the idea of Econet in a Risc PC, you can still opt for
that. The UniPod can (should be able to) take an Econet card we're
familiar with:
Master (longer? legs); Archi (shorter? legs); A3020/A4000 (AEH52).
If the Econet NIC would comply to the TRM, it would mean you can fit the
Adjust Flash ROMs without problems, as you can with any Ethernet NIC.
I suppose the Econet cards were there before that TRM part was frozen.
OK, now I have the OTP ROMs of Adjust fitted, Econet fits smoothly!
And now get it running. ???
greetings,
Johan
