Have a look at my post here for some further info on B+ RAM Banks:

Basically, DFS 2.26 expects to see RAM in banks 0, 1, C & D. Make any or all 
of these RAM banks read only, and the reported memory will change.

Not sure about that. I don't have a real B+ to see what is really held in 
these 4 slots.
