After opening her up and pressing every chip down, the lights no longer come
on. Is that a clue or is it just disintegrating before my eyes?
I also took out the main chip (with the big metal bit stuck to it ) and
noticed a bent pin, fixed it and promptly put it in the wrong way around (it
just clicked when I switched on instead of the buzz). Turning it around
again it's back to the continuous beep/buzz sound.
Will I have blown the ROM?
