Many thanks, a real life saver, I am back in business :-) The web
resources for the Beeb are astonishing, and all done by volunteers, I
am finding my way around and have started reading through the
documents I have downloaded. Thanks also to Andy and Paul, I am
keeping all this info in a file so I won't have to ask again.

To show how paranoid I've become I spent the last 1.5 hours convinced
that the MOS ROM had died because it didn't say 'MOS' at the top of
the screen. I just discovered the TV was in zoom mode and was cutting
off the top of the picture, I think I'll go to bed :-(
