I have posted this 3 times now in two weeks!!!
To use the 3.5" drive on the BBC use the DFS fix from Jonathan Harston
www.mdfs.net. It is a timing issue with the DFS and the drive, that Jonathan
brilliantly sorted out.

Subject: [BBC-Micro] 3.5 drive with 8271 drive
I gave up trying to get my PC 5.25 floppy drives to write disks for the past
month or so, just could not get it to work.
Now moved to using a PC 3.5 floppy drive on the BBC, got a drive converter
kit from eBay, and wired up a Sony MPF920 drive to a master, and it worked
first time.
Then tried the same drive on a B with 8271 controller, and does not work. My
disks are formatted 400k DFS DS/DD, they are double density media, not high
density. I can read the catalog, and load two line basic programs, but
anything else results in disk fault messages.
I tried the *fx commands on sprows website with no success. Just wondering
if I need a different version of DFS/ADFS fitted. Would like to hear from
anyone who has been able to use 3.5 drives on a BBC with 8271 controller.
Regards,
Paul.
