Subject: Adding a SCSI drive to A540

Hi Folks,

Can someone assist adding a SCSI hard drive to an A540.

There are a multitude of different drives knocking about in my office,
including one purchased one off eBay (I know...)

The internal drive is a Conner 120Mb SCSI terminated and set as ID0.

The drive I am trying is a 3.2GB Quantum Fireball (the worst SCSI drive I've
got) that is set to ID1

I can get the drive to work in SCSIDM and format it, then make a 512MB
RISCOS partition with SECTION and give the partition a name (well I think
that's what it's doing) but when I click on the drive on the desktop I am
informed that it is not formatted. Unfortunately, the format option is
greyed out and the format command in the SCSIDM formats the whole device.

What do I have to do to get this to work ?

Any help please...

Dave ;)
