ADFS is not dependant on any ROM slot. If you load
ADFS into RAM you must *UNPLUG the existing ADFS with
*UNPLUG 13 and clear memory with *FX151,78,127 then
Ctrl-BREAK, otherwise you will get "Bad sum" errors.
This is in the documentation.

I have tested ADFS 1.53 in ROM slots 0 to 8 in a ROM,
and in RAM banks 4 to 8. It works correctly in all
cases, **as* *long* *as* *the* *existing* *ADFS* *is*
*UNPLUGGED**.

It does here. Have you made sure the existing ADFS in ROM
13 is unplugged?
