Subject: Low priority slot for IDE HD success?

Hi folks,

With regard to operation of the 8 bit interface
I have noticed that using a high priority socket
eg. No. 8 for ADFS 1.53 causes problems with
commands eg. *SRLOAD ROM_image 80000 7 Q, 
The most common error message is "Bad sum". 
And HDInit would not work with ADFS 1.53 in ROM slot 8.

However, all of the faded into oblivion since re-using low priority
cartridge slots 2 & 3 again. I began using both 
of the HDs that I bought from Jonathan with ADFS 1.53 ROMs
in slot 2. 

I know it could all be due to ROM clashes, etc, etc. but removing all 
other ROMs and ROM images or unplugging them really
has made no differences and I just wonder if this could have any 
bearing on the problems with the more advanced units that Jonathan 
is developing/trying to "format".
