The advice so far has all been very good, but I don't think anyone has 
commented on the quality of the camera.  From past experience, I don't 
think Goodmans is a very good brand.

You can do all the tips and suggestions offered by everyone, but if the 
camera has a poor quality lens then nothing will improve the picture.

I have a new 4MP camera which does pretty good general photos, but for 
macro stuff it is pathetic.  Which is why I resort to my old Sanyo 
VPC-X350 which isn't even 1 megapixel.
