Not really, you could buy the upgrade to convert a 64K to a 128K
machine almost on day one. I think the 128K version was aroud fairly
early on too. It's a bit fiddly to do, mind you, so perhaps not many
people did. I remember mending a few failed upgrades -- they were a
bit like Econet upgrades in that way.
