No, I what meant was that saying 'seperate' and 'definately' are being
misspelled is rather meaningless, as they are misspelled themselves!

But perhaps putting it this way was a joke by annihilannic? Or a mistake
and should it have been (as I thought) "'separate' and 'definitely'
being continuously misspelled"?

Hey, shouldn't it be "cf." instead of "c.f." ? ;-)

Right, but two typing mistakes.. I consider the use of 'definately' and
'seperate' not as typing mistakes, as these occur way too often and I've
noticed that many people who misspell these, misspell them all the
time. The bad thing is, this creeps into ones own usage too...

Btw, the typo in the title of my posting on Atom diskimages ('Acron')
was not on purpose!

Either all caps (my preference) or first letter capitalised. The latter
seems to be the official english way but I don't follow all the rules
esp. ones that aren't logical (esp. something like putting punctuation
inside a quoted section, which is in(s)ane). Oh, and Basic is *not* an
acronym. Anyone who believes that is far too gullible! It's just a name.

Getting back to BBC micro stuff that's language related, I recently read
the exile novella. I'll try out the game soon (I've never tried
seriously before), and I decided to have a go at deciphering the runes
on the rear of the novella first as a challenge:

where you can also find a few more updates such as a new bbcim version
(actually, it's really old but I'd not put it on the web before, there
are a few things that need updating in the other old utilities too, esp.
for newer GCC which don't like embedded CRs in strings in particular.)
