Howdy Phil!

Other interesting finds..

Two discs and one manual of the "Pace OBBS BBS System" for the BBC
Micro. I'm quite seriously tempted! :-D but don't know if i could sleep
with the sound of the FDFS clunking away all night. I did have it
running (locally, apart from one evening I thought I'd play a trick on
the BBS callers) on an Opus Challenger. Its kinda like a sawn-off RA,
written in BBC BASIC.

Will have to see how the bridge/linux server (which is 24/7 anyway)
thing pans out. I have 4 dormant phone lines in the server cupboard,
some of them even have intact wiring. Or maybe even put a kinda
authenticationless telnetd in ROM, stuffing things into/taking things
from the serial buffer. The Mind Biggles!

One (unforunately rather unhappy) PROM burner, Spose i'd better try to
fix it.(oh.. I misremembered.. Its an "ATPL AuToPrommer") as I probably
need to blow another NFS ROM.

At the mo it crashes the beeb when I try to boot from it. (its the one
that bootsraps stuff in over the 1MHz bus on power up, which would be
handy, if it worked... and even handier if I could remember how it worked!)

One rampant colony of dust bunnies. <sigh> Oh.. and another "Universal
Second Processor" box that might have a "Turbo" board in. if it hasn't,
i'll have to get and ARM7 board or summit to keep it warm.

/me shambles off to look for a screwdriver and dustbuster.

Cheers!

M.
