Subject: Re: Model B compatibility on a Master

In the 1980s there was a thing called the Integra-B board supplied by Beebug
which either helped turn a BBC B into a Master or the other way round.

The Acornsoft Converter ROM on the Master welcome disc will help with some
games, mainly correcting the display of graphics which use the upper end of the
font character definitions and come out as Greek squiggles on the Master.

I think quite a few BBC B games were reissued later to work on the Master under
Play it Again Sam or the like; there was something on the list about this a while
back.

Best wishes,

Ian

Subject: [BBC-Micro] Model B compatibility on a Master

Hi Group,

Have heard there was an upgrade you could get for a Master, possibly by vine
micros, to make it more compatible with earlier software written for model
B.

Can anyone provide any more info on this, or on any other options available
to help with sotware compatibility on the Master.

I have had problems with some software, can get it run ok, but ctrl-break
does not return the machine to a useable state. Is there anyway to force
ctrl-break to reset all the memory ?

Regards,
Paul
