I think it would be a shame to lose it, what is on there so far is
very good but I must admit I hadn't seen it before. If it can be made
to become a unified reference point for all things Beeb then I think
it would be very worthwhile, particularly with the demise of 8BS.

I am sure people on the list could spare a few minutes to put in
something related to their own area of expertise.

Best wishes,

Ian

Subject: [BBC-Micro] The future of the Beeb Wiki

Last year, at the request of members of this list I created a Wiki for
everything 8-bit Acorn related. After a disappointing start all
legitimate interest in the community Wiki vanished and there have been
no submissions since December last year. The only recent changes have
been from spammers defacing pages.

I had been waiting for a minimum core set of articles to be added to the
site before announcing the Wiki to the world and bringing the site to a
wider audience. This never happened.

I am considering closing the Wiki down as it does not appear to be
something that this community is interested in. If there was a
sustained upswing in interest I might change my mind.

Comments and suggestions are appreciated before the site goes off line
forever.
