Subject: MDFS Parity Mod
Can anybody remember the "rule" for attaching SCSI drives to
an MDFS which has had the parity mod carried out? I thought it
was that if the Parity mod is present and the SCSI drive has a
parity link jumper, then parity must be enabled on the drive for it
to work properly. However, I have just tried a Seagate drive with
parity enabled and disabled and there appears to be no difference.
Best wishes,
Ian
