I've noticed that with your posts too - do you have your mail client set to 
include the original message as an attachment rather than plain text? I wonder 
if that might do it - mail clients would probably have the sense to display 
the attachment as inline text when opening a message from you, but in the 
message list it'd probably still appear as having an attachment.
