OK, well I sussed that one out. $.!Server.Exports file. Replaced $
with $.L4Disc (directory I created) and sure enough it only gives out
that folder.

Only where it looks for the programs and password files ..
It doesn't seem to life raFS, however after "just rtying it" I've
discovered that it has it's own arrangements for getting around the
limit on number of filenames (which awServer didn't), so that's not
going to be a problem after all.
And, joy on joys, it doesn't seem to be corrupting everything on a
restore! Phew...
