I recently sent a box of Atom tapes off to Fraser Ross (the guy who rewrote
the MakeUEF utility) and I believe he's already transferred a number of them
to WAV (and subsequently CSW and HQ.UEF formats).

So it would probably be worth contacting him for tips regarding optimum
recording settings. I'll send you his email address off-list.
