http://mdfs.net/Mirror/Image/SJ/MDFS/MASTER is an MDFS system
disk, with some tweeked system programs.

http://mdfs.net/Apps/DiskTools/Write800 is a RISC OS BASIC program
that will write the image file to a physical disk.

You've got the disk set to 8-bit account numbers instead of 12-bit
account numbers. You can change the account settings with the
*MAXACC 7FF command on each disk:

*I AM <system user>
*DIR :<diskname>
*MAXACC 7FF
*DIR :<diskname>
*MAXACC 7FF
..etc.

You must also use a version of EditPass that understands 12-bit
account numbers, such as the one at
http://mdfs.net/Apps/Networking/PWEditors

The EditPass program on my site gives you an additional option to
automatically create a user's home directory and allocate them
some space.

Taxation is like dairy farming. You have to extract the maximum
amount of milk with the minimum amount of moo.
