Lucky you! Both of my tape drives are dead, although
on my main MDFS the tape drive was said to be working
when I bought it.

I wonder what would happen if I changed the Syquest
drive ID to the ID of the tape drive, which I think is 4.

If anyone is thinking of hacking the MDFS code, my request
list is:

1. Bigger disc partitions than 60MB
2. More than 8 partitions per disc
3. More than 8 hard disc partitions available when the
     MDFS is online.
4. More than 8 SCSI IDs available for hard discs

Should be enough to be going on with!!!!

Best wishes,

Ian

I have a working tape drive! :-) It's one of the 60MB versions.
